Thanks, Jae!



I'm finally getting around to my blog! I received a blog award from Jae over at Found It At The Marathon!

The rules for the award are as follows:

1. Thank the person giving the award

2. Share 7 things about yourself.

3. Nominate 15 newly discovered blogs.

4. Let your nominees know about the award.

The problem is...I'm not very good at following directions...

So, here's what I'll do: First, Thank you, Jae, for the honor. Jae is a dream follower and a strong lady, you should check out her blog! Next, I'll be happy to share 7 things about myself:

1. I can cut out your silhouette from a piece of paper just by looking at you and cutting.
2. I have a super kid with autism.
3. I ran a home program for my son with autism...about 70 hours/week one on one for nearly 10 years.
4. I will never give up on him and I keep up the program, but with fewer hours...more relaxed
5. I fenced in college
6. I learned to swim when
I was 39 years old.
7. I showed horses in middle school/early highschool.


Now for the part where I don't cooperate so well....I don't have 15 blogs to present such an award to...Maybe I should check out a few, but even then, I would want to get to know the blogger before awarding them with this fun award. So, I'll blog around and see what happens, but until then, I award my SIL over

ARE YOU KIDDING ME???!!! You know how to do those silhouette picture thingy's like they do at Disney World??? I paid a ZILLION dollars for 4 of those of the kids when we went.

You're amazing :)...for a lot of reasons.

Kids with special challenges give us front row seats to God's love.

"one more" thing before I go!

I'm about to leave, but I wanted you to know that I did cardio and abs this morning!! I was cold, stiff, and slightly nauseated (fried mushrooms???), and did 4 good intervals. I thought, "I trully can NOT do even one more." So, I did one more. That's my theme for the week...one more!! Actually, on abs, I did 10 more when I thought I'd reached my limit! So, my challenge to you for the week is to concentrate on doing one more than you think you possibly can while I am gone. I will do the same and we can compare notes when I get back next Saturday!!!

Thursday

Well, I'm doing a "fair" job with the eating part, and am caught up on the workout part too. So, that's good! My folks have a recumbant bike, and I've been using it. I never liked it for BFL before because of the way the BFL intervals are set up, but for Hiits, it's just fine! My lifting isn't as intense as it would be at home, but I'm sore, so I guess I'm doing ok. We have had a slight change in our travel plans. My uncle passed away...he had lung cancer and we knew it was coming soon...praise God for claiming Uncle Floyd's heart first. He was baptized about a month ago! Happy, huh? Better run! I'm helping in the kitchen... I'll check back when I can!

sloth

Well, just so you know...I'm being a total sloth. I did frog jumps one day, and I might do HIITs on the stationary bike tomorrow...MIGHT. I'm eating on program, though...NOT! I'd forgotten how yummy peanut m&m's are! It's been fun, but I am anxious to get started back when I get home! Christmas was great, and our trip has been great. I hope you are all having a wonderful holiday time!
